The Terrorist Virus
By Joe Renna
About 30,000 years ago, early man coexisted with a race of people known as Neanderthals, who roamed Europe and Central Asia. Using the DNA technology of recent years, it was discovered through genetic testing that the Homo Sapien man and Neanderthal man were actually different species. Despite their physical similarities they might as well have been cats and dogs.
In coming to grips with the devastation of the attack on the
World Trade Center, I find it hard to comprehend the evil that
must exist in the hearts and minds of these terrorists. My only
rational explanation is that they are not human. I believe DNA
testing will prove my theory.
Once resigned to this fact, I am less troubled by the thought
that there can be a genealogical connection between the terrorist
and someone I know. The concept also made simple work of justifying
their eradication.
The Ebola virus is a living organism whose elimination from existence would benefit mankind. Terrorists can be thought of in this manner. They should be listed as an endangered species for the sole purpose of easy identification. But make no mistake, they are a species that we wish would go extinct. Their slaughter should be encouraged and their memory eradicated.
Terrorism has reached epidemic proportions in this country and no one is immune. Our only vaccination is unity. As Americans and defenders of liberty and freedom, we must all play an active role in expelling this disease.
Terrorists do not discriminate. The disease is obsessed with killing all that are good regardless of race or ethnicity. Their operatives place no value on life including their own.
Our battle will take place on our homeland and will be with great consequence. We are all soldiers in this war. We will need to give up certain freedoms and comforts that have been awarded us for living on the right side of decency. Our patience will be tried but we must persist.
The enemy is among us. Terror has found its way through our borders. We are a free and open society so the task of infiltration was not too difficult. Their defeat must come at the hands of the very way of life that they seek to destroy. We must use the power that our freedom affords us to band together and squeeze out every evil cell holed up in our country.
We have the ability to expose these anti-social miscreants by promoting fellowship throughout our communities. This will sift out and isolate the nonconformists.
Aid and comfort those who are hurting from the recent acts of terror. Be friendly and supportive to your neighbors. Be highly suspicious of anyone who can rationalize the terrorist attacks or doesn't grieve the loss of life.
Not for Nothing But...
comparing a terrorist to the most vile, disgusting, human- degenerating
virus
in the world is an insult to the virus.
